Export in forum

This article describes the basics of preparing a project for export to the forums (the generation of the forum).

First, you need to bring the project into a forum form. Just go and change the settings: Settings -> Project -> Project Tree Design -> Forum.

The program will display a tree in the form of forums, and divide all elements of the tree into 3 types (fully automatic):

• Forums - this type of program determines on such grounds: the first level and parent level topics

• Subject - This type is determined on the basis of the availability of the text (which will be the first message threads) and the presence of dependent elements - messages

• Messages - this is always the last level which parent - a theme

This may sound a bit complicated and confusing, but actually you do not even have to think about all these points, the software automatically doing all right if you stick to the basic rule: all the themes and messages should have a text.

The next step is the placement of the authors. You can do this manually specifying author in custom fields or by using the auto additional fields tool. Remember that if the article is without author, the program will automatically assume that the author is the user admin.

Next if you wish, you can use other tools handling the project, such as Date generator, but the main work has been completed and now we can safely export the project to a forum engine or in other words, generate a forum.

Warning: if there is a picture in the project, the program creates a folder with pictures apart from the import file, you should upload it into the root of forum folder on FTP.
