Joomla XML-RPC

In standard version of Joomla you can find plugins for work with XML-RPC. But unfortunately they have lack of possibilities, that is why we should install MetaWeblog plugin

The installation of this plugin is the same as for the others.

Preparation of Joomla

First of all we need to activate installed plugin. For this we go to Extensions – Plugin manager

Then we search for plugin named XML-RPC - metaWeblog API and activate it

Then we go to Settings – System, and activate “Turn on Web-services” option

Attention: XML-RPC in Joomla has not an opportunity to create categories or threads, so before import, we should create them, and name them in the program on following rules:

Name of category (Name of thread)

So, if you have a thread News, which contains a category Movies, then in program it should be named as Movies (News)
