RSS Grabber

Content import instruction with the help of RSS-band grabber.

First of all, create the profiles for grabbing. With the help of context menu for the profile list a new record is created. In the record you are to mention:

1. Profile name

2. The address of the band that has to be parsed

3. If after grabbing there is a need to upload the pictures locally, an option “Upload images into the project” should be chosen

4. If you want all the posts fall into any particular category, rather than the one specified in the tape - choose from a list "category for the post" (or enter the category name and the program will create it)

5. If you need to receive full news, the corresponding tick should be selected.

7. Save the profile

After creating and tuning the settings of all the profiles just tick the needed options and press the “Start” button. The program will download all the bands, reparse them and put them into the project. When using this function again only the articles which had not been downloaded before will be downloaded. It means that this function is useful when the content of the website has been updated.

Also, the program gives a possibility to fix the set of RSS bands for every project to download them through “Processing of a few projects” in future. For this, select "Add a binding to the project" in the context menu for the import profile. All bands that are assigned to the project are marked with green icon in the list of profiles.

Receiving the full version of news setting

This part consists of 2 fields and 1one option only. The first field – are the signs of the beginning of the text that needs to be withdrawn from the HTML version of the full news page. The second, accordingly, is the end sign. A special symbol “*” can be used for these two fields. It symbolizes any text. For example, the websites on the DLE engine place the full news between the tags:

They are to be indicated in these fields. But in the initial indicator of the part news-id-111 has different end numbers in every article. That is why the record must be changed to:

As you can see, the numbers are replaced by the star which symbolizes any sequence of the symbols.

There is also a possibility to use regular expressions in the field of search of an article’s beginning and end. For this, you just need to activate the corresponding option.

To import the content you have ordered from this link base you just need to indicate the band address proposed by the base, and start parsing. The program will withdraw the full texts of the articles and will import them into the project.
