interface of XML-RPC posting window
This article is a short description of XML-RPC window interface.
The first thing I would like to remind users: a tool for multi-threaded, but its use is recommended only if you publish posts by proxy or in your own server. In all other cases, to put more than 1 thread is not highly recommended, especially if the posting is carried out in a blog on such servers as Blogger, WordPress.com, etc. I hope you understand that when a single IP in a parallel posts a lot of posts to fast, it looks suspicious.
Conventionally, the window can be divided into several parts:
- Profiles of posting Tree
- Profile Settings
- Log posting
- Modes of posting
- Run Settings
All these parts except the first, should not cause problems in development, even for beginners, so we won’t stop on them.
Profiles of XML-RPC posting Tree
Profiles of posting tree contains categorized profiles for posting on the XML-RPC protocol. You should divide 2 types of selecting records for posting: active and selected.
Active record - a record which stands on a triangular against the arrow that shows the settings and is currently in the profile settings. At one point in time, you can activate only one entry. An active record is used to import, synchronize, export, and also indicates the main blog at crosposting.
Selected-record - a record that is checked. There could be can be as much of marked records as you want, they play a key role in mass posting, crosposting and mass cleaning of blogs.
Managing of the tree is done via the context menu that contains the following items:
- Activate - to make the current record active
- Create a record - Create an entry in the selected category or next to the selected record (depending on a focus in context menu)
- Create a category
- Move to Category - Moves the selected entry in the specified category
- Delete - deletes the entry / category
- Collapse all
- Expand All
- Import from clipboard - import profiles from the clipboard in the right format (import will be discussed below)
- Export to the clipboard - Export Profiles from the clipboard in the right format (export format will be discussed below)
- Export of articles address - the address of all posted through the program articles stored in the buffer
Import / Export profiles format as follows:
SERVICE_NAME_1;SITE_ADDRESS;PROFILE_NUMBER;LOGIN;PASS;XML_RPC SERVICE_NAME_2;SITE_ADDRESS;PROFILE_NUMBER;LOGIN;PASS .... SERVICE_NAME_N;SITE_ADDRESS;PROFILE_NUMBER;LOGIN;PASS;XML_RPC
As you can see the separator serves a semicolon, but instead can be used, the tab character
The last parameter XML_RPC is optional, it should indicate if you use non-standard path to the XML-RPC interface on your blog.
Profile number – is an identifier of the service:
- WordPress
- WordPress.com
- Blogger.com
- LiveJournal
- Drupal
- Joomla
- MaxSite
