Joomla 1.5.x

Joomla represents free system for creation of web sites. It is the project with an open initial code which, as well as the majority of similar projects, is not necessary on a place. It very successfully develops, during here seven years, and is popular at millions users worldwide. Zebroid has the maximum support of this CMS (import of a content from a site in the program, export from the program on a site, and as support of comments).

Export

Export in Joomla 1.5 exists 2 kinds:

1. File export
2. XML-RPC export (Joomla 1.5.x — 2.x)

File export has the complete support and approaches for work with the big projects. XML-RPC export is able to create posts, but is not able to create a category (they should be already created) and comments.

Module for import of the files generated by the program

To establish the module for import of a content of Zebroid prepared by the program on Joomla it is very simple. For this purpose it is necessary to make all some simple actions:

1. Come in admin panel of a site on Joomla
2. Open Installation — Components
3. Specify in adjusting archive of the module
4. Confirm installation

Module XML-RPC

Plug-ins of work enter into standard delivery Joomla with XML-RPC. But unfortunately their possibilities are small, therefore it is necessary to establish a separate plug-in:

1. Come in admin panel of a site on Joomla
2. Open Installation — Components
3. Specify in adjusting archive of the module
4. Confirm installation
5. Activate the established plug-in. For this purpose we go to Expansions
   
   → the Manager of plug-ins (we search for a plug-in with the name XML-RPC — metaWeblog API, on the second page)
   We go to the General options → System, and we activate an option to Include Web-services

   Attention: XML-RPC in Dzhumle does not allow to create categories or sections so before importing a content it is necessary to create them, and in the program to name as follows:
   
   

   the category Name (the section Name) 

   
   
   I.e. if you have a News section, and in it there is a category Films in the program this category should be called Films (News)

   Import and comments

   
   As already it was mentioned earlier, Zebroid is able to import a content from Joomla 1.5.x and as to work with comments. For content import it is used SQL import and XML-RPC import .
   
   For work with comments it is necessary to change project type on the Blog with comments and to establish on a site the module JComments . Do not forget to activate after import comments in new categories (differently they will not be displayed).
